Secondary entrance
The south combat block with the secondary entrance
The south combat block with the secondary entrance. On the left you see the embrasure of the concrete casemate, and above on the right you see the cupola of the metal casemate (24/06/1999).

The secondary entrance is located in the south block and in a flanking position with respect to the enemy shooters, and is protected by a embrasure for close defense which opens in the wall in front of the door.

As you enter from the outside you encounter near the first curve a rectangular opening in the pavement. The metal cover is missing, and the opening is identical to the trap door of the emergency exit of Center 20.
From it a shaft departs toward the entrance branch which, in consideration of the large amount of refuse, we decided to not explore. It accesses a pair of gullies located beyond the embankment located in front of the secondary entrance.
This is not an emergency exit, but rather a long underground shaft which connects the center to a aqueduct which probably begins at the Plateau delle Cavalle, upstream from Center 23 bis, and which descends alongside the Roncia canal.

Continuing along the corridor beyond the double sharp curve we encounter on the left the post for close defense. It consists of a simple metal tube which goes through the concrete wall and, above on the right, the access alcove at the base of the shaft of the metal casemate.
The corridor then descends about 10 steps to a landing where, on the left, the entrance to the concrete casemate is located. On the right, on the other side of an armored entrance whose door has been removed, you reach the stairs which lead to the living quarters.
