Living quarters The living quarters seen while looking toward the south combat station. At the base of the stairs you can just see leaning against the left wall the metal door which has removed from its frame, while in the center and on the right you can see the alcoves of the manual air recycling pump and of the air purifier (24/06/1999).

The living quarters are located between the stairs which descend from the entrance and the stairs which go up to the combat south station.

Concerning the alcove where the water reservoir is located is larger, and its ceiling is reinforced with steel beams.

In its walls you find three alcoves:

• a small niche about 1 meter above the floor in the wall toward the corridor, probably used for storage;
• an alcove beside the corridor at the bottom of the stairs toward the south block, characterized by a small rectangular opening in the pavement, probably intended to hold the manual pump for air circulation;
• an alcove in the wall opposite to the corridor, characterized by a side which arcs in order to connect with the ceiling, and by an air intake tube which sticks out at the top. It housed the filters of the air purifier.
